JOURNEY

My journey as a coach has been shaped by years of study as well as time on stage. I’ve trained with respected vocal coaches and explored a wide range of programs, building a toolkit that adapts to each singer’s needs.

TRAINING

My foundation is Speech Level Singing (SLS) by Seth Riggs, first studied through Brett Manning’s Mastering Mix. That program gave me a full picture of how the voice works - from chest and head voice to mix, pharyngeal, bridges, and vocal fry. I later expanded my approach by studying programs from Tyler Wysong and Eric Arceneaux, and through one-to-one advanced training with internationally acclaimed coach Kurt Wolf. These influences shaped the clear, science-based method I use today - proven to help singers on stage and in the studio.

EXPERIENCE

Alongside this, I bring over 15 years of performance experience in concerts, gigs, and leading roles such as Jesus (Jesus Christ Superstar), Jamie New (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie), and Evan Hansen (Dear Evan Hansen).

CREDIBILITY

As a Registered Private Teacher (RPT) with the Independent Society of Musicians (ISM), I meet nationally recognised standards for private music teaching in the UK. This accreditation confirms that I am fully insured and committed to clear, ethical, and professional practice. When you train at Redhead Studios, you’re learning with a recognised, accountable professional as well as an experienced performer.

OUR APPROACH

Singing shouldn’t feel tense, unpredictable, or confusing. Our approach removes the guesswork. Using a clear, science-backed method rooted in Speech Level Singing (SLS), I help you understand how your voice works so you can build consistency, confidence, and freedom step by step.

Understand your voice

You won’t be told to “just support more” or repeat something blindly. We explain what’s happening in your voice in simple, practical terms so you know exactly what to adjust and why it works. When you understand the cause of a crack, strain, or unstable note, you can correct it confidently.

Sing with freedom

High notes shouldn’t feel like a leap of faith. We build smooth, balanced coordination across your range so your voice feels connected and controlled instead of pushed or tense. The goal isn’t volume at all costs - it’s stability, stamina, and notes that feel easier to access when you need them.

Built around your goals

Preparing for an audition? Managing a busy gig schedule? Starting from scratch and building confidence? Your lessons are shaped around your goals, repertoire, and timeline. We focus on the skills that will make the biggest difference right now.

Train for the real world

Every lesson applies exercises directly to real repertoire so you can feel the improvement where it counts - in auditions, rehearsals, gigs, or choir performances. Building a voice you can trust under pressure.
